In 2006, Tint Gallery (M) Sdn Bhd was the first company to develop a 3 in 1 tinted film in the form of WinGard Safety films which incorporates the following features:-
- Reduction in penetration of Infra-red radiation of up to 95%;
- Reduction in penetration of Ultra-violet radiation of up to 99.9%;
- Increase in impact strength of the film to prevent shattering of window glass (tested by SIRIM)
WinGard Safety films were upgraded with the following components for added safety and protection:-
- 3 layers of Innovation
Unlike the conventional window film technology, WinGard Safety films encompass three state of the art window film technologies.
- 1st layer of innovation: Nanotechnology PET film
WinGard first layer is created with advanced Japanese nanotechnology PET (Polyester) film. Because of nanotechnology, our PET film has close to 200 layers of raw materials thus maximising heat rejection and window protection.
- 2nd layer of innovation: Indium tin oxide (Ito) & Antimony-doped tin oxide
(Ato)
These are non-metal compound materials which are water base treated for anti-corrosion while greatly reducing heat and harmful UV rays.
- 3rd layer of innovation: Nano-ceramic Adhesive
Nano-ceramic treated products are known for their hardiness and durability and it is a frequently used technology in coatings. WinGard uses similar treatment for its adhesives which enhances impact resistance and also provide added protection from heat and damaging UV rays.
